About 5 years ago, I started knitting and stopped quilting. I boxed up my machine, fabric, rulers, thread and put away the table. A few months ago, I saw Terrain by Kate Spain and decided to pull out the Bernina and make a small lap sized quilt.
When I put that last border on my lap quilt, spread it on the living room floor, and stepped back to see my finished quilt top, I knew how much I missed quilting.
I have finished another lap quilt that is a Christmas gift so I cannot post pics until next month. I already have 5 projects in my cue. I have started a small quilt with Puttin' on The Ritz from Bunny Hill. Puttin' on The Ritz is the perfect shade of soft pink.
I will continue to knit because it is a great take-along project. You can't beat knitting to provide productive time while waiting at the doctor's, in line, or riding in the car. Oh and my friend Cindy would kill me if I dropped out of our knit group.
